Any dutch oven people out there? I have seen alot about 'em, but have never used them, until this past weekend. I think I'm in love. We were on a camping trip and my buddy is big in scouting. He had various sizes with him. We made some great stuff with them. I was impressed.

I sure haven't but it is funny you posted this. I have one tucked away in the garage and I planned breaking it in over the 4th. We are going camping, and I think it would be a good time to break it out. I am not sure what to put in it yet, but that should come to me by tomorrow evening, I hope anyway.

Sorr for the late reply, I was in Honduras over the 4th. My buddy made a dessert for us, it was outstanding!!! He just dumped in a white cake mix, cut up a stick of butter over the cake mix, and a can of apple pie filling. Put some coals from the fire in a pile and set th d.o. over it and put some coals on the top of the lid. About 30 n-40 min it was done. great stuff!!

That sounds good! I am thinking about smoking an apple pie this weekend using apple wood. I do not have a recipe yet, but I have found a couple on the internet.
