Chicken Fried Steak Recipe

Chicken Fried Steak

Recipe Name: Chicken Fried Steak
Posted By: The Smoker King
Number of Servings: 4
Preparation Time: 40 minutes

4-Tenderized cube steaks
1.5-Cups of flour
1-Cup buttermilk (or whole milk)
1-Tsp Tony's or similar cajun seasoning
1/2-Tsp Chili powder
1/2-Tsp Garlic powder
1/2-Tsp Pepper
1/2 Tsp Salt

1. Beat egg and add to buttermilk
2. Put steaks into buttermilk/egg mixture, and soak for 30 minutes in the refrigerator
3. Mix all seasonings into flour
4. Fill a heavy-duty fry pan with about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of oil (I use a small cast-iron pan that can hold two steaks at one time)
5. Heat oil to 350 F
6. Coat steaks evenly with the flour mixture, and fry 3-4 minutes per side
7. When the steaks are done, the juices will run clear.
