Posted By: The Smoker King
Number of Servings: 4
Preparation Time: 1 hour, 30 minutes
Ingredients:
3-Large baking potatoes
Olive oil
1-head of Garlic
Whole milk or heavy cream
Salt
Pepper
Recipe:
1. Preheat oven to 350 F
2. Coat potatoes with olive oil, and wrap with foil
3. Slice the top off of the head of garlic (this will expose the tops
of the raw garlic)
4. Drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper
5. Wrap garlic with foil
6. Place garlic and potatoes on a baking sheet in the oven
7. Cook the garlic for 45 minutes
8. Cook the potatoes for 1 hr and 15 minutes
9. When the garlic is done, remove 3-4 cloves, place them in a small
cup, and whip into a paste with a fork (I usually add more, but I like
garlic)
10. When the potatoes are done, remove the skins and mash in a pot
11. Add the garlic and mix with the potatoes
12. Over med/low heat, slowly add milk or cream, about 1/4 cup at a time,
to the mashed potatoes while mixing until you reach the consistency and
texture you desire.
12. Season with salt and pepper to taste
